چکیده

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) have attracted more attention because of their high atmospheric concentration and toxicity in recent decades. In this study, a total 60 PM2.5 samples were collected from Beihuangcheng Island Bohai Sea, China, August 2017 to March 2018 for analyzing 16 congeners PAHs (Σ16PAHs). Sources apportioned by positive matrix factorization (PMF) model the carcinogenic risk due exposure was estimated equivalent BaP (BaPeq). The results showed that average Σ16PAHs 35.3 ± 41.8 ng/m3. maximum occurred winter, followed spring autumn, summer. PMF modeling into four sources, coal combustion, biomass burning, vehicle exhaust, petroleum release, contributing 43.1%, 25.8%, 24.7%, 6.39%, respectively. ΣBaPeq 2.32 4.95 ng/m3 during sampling period, exhaust largest contributor. finding indicates should be paid reduce emissions combustion they contributors PAH concentration,

Source apportionment of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in surface sediments of the Huangpu River, Shanghai, China.

We applied cluster analysis and principal component analysis (PCA) with multivariate linear regression (MLR) to apportion sources of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in surface sediments of the Huangpu River in Shanghai, China, based on the measured PAH concentrations of 32 samples collected at eight sites in four seasons in 2006. The results indicate that petrogenic and pyrogenic source...

Source Apportionment of Particle Bound Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons at an Industrial Location in Agra, India

16 U.S. EPA priority polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) were quantified in total suspended ambient particulate matter (TSPM) collected from an industrial site in Agra (India) using gas chromatography. The major industrial activities in Agra are foundries that previously used coal and coke as fuel in cupola furnaces. These foundries have now switched over to natural gas. In addition, use of...

Biodegradation of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) in Petroleum Contaminated Soils

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons are a class of potentially hazardous chemicals of environmental and health concern. PAHs are one of the most prevalent groups of contaminants found in soil. Biodegradation of complex hydrocarbon usually requires the cooperation of more than single specie. In this research biotreatment of PAH (phenanthrene) was studied in a solid-phase reactor using indigenou...

Source Apportionment of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) in sediments from Chalong Bay, Phuket, Thailand

The potential sources of 16 PAHs in surface sediments from highly tourism activities of Chalong bay, Phuket province, Thailand were apportioned. Twenty-eight of sediment samples were collected by using van Veen grab Sampler from Chalong bay, Phuket. Quantitative analysis of the 16 PAHs which categorized according to the USEPA was analyzed by Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS). Moreove...

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in livers of California sea otters.

Concentrations of 16 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) were measured in livers of 81 adult female sea otters collected along the California coast in 1992-2002. Concentrations of summation operatorPAHs in livers of sea otters were in the range of 588-17400ng/g lipid wt (mean: 3880ng/g, lipid wt). On a wet weight basis, the concentrations ranged from 17 to 1430ng/g (mean: 146ng/g). Overall,...
